Apple Music to Mandate AI-Generated Content Labels, Music Platforms Accelerate Governance of AI Spam
Apple plans to mandate that content providers on Apple Music add transparency labels to music that substantially uses AI-generated content by the end of 2026, shifting from voluntary disclosure to mandatory requirements. The label was introduced in March this year but has not been made public to users yet. Apple states that it has developed internal tools to monitor and identify AI songs, spam content, and identity impersonation to address the misuse of AI music.
